Making Money Taking Paid Surveys! Is It Possible?

March 7th, 2010 by Ashley No comments »

Get paid to take online surveys is a phrase that you’ve probably heard (seen) once or twice on the internet. Everywhere you turn, there are people from both side, debating on whether you can make money taking online surveys, or if all online surveys are just scams. You’ve probably seen an ad or two for paid surveys as well. I am sure most of you are familiar with the image of a person with a laptop in one hand, and a cup of coffee in another, and a big old smile on his/her face, taking online surveys and getting paid doing so! What do you think? Do you think it’s possible to make money taking paid surveys? Would you like to find out if you can actually get paid to take online surveys?…

Well, the truth is, yes you can make a little extra cash in your spare time by taking online surveys, but, not as much as those ads suggest. Companies who want to know whats on the minds of their customers are willing to pay for your opinion. And evidently the market research industry is a huge industry. Companies do spend millions of dollars every year to conduct market research studies, and find out what consumers are saying about their products.

So yes, there is money to be made taking online surveys. But, the thing is, you cant expect to get rich taking surveys, unless you spend every second of your daily life in front of computer and fill out online surveys, which probably isn’t gonna happen. But, what can happen is that you can make some extra money doing paid surveys. Possibly a couple hundred dollars a month, or perhaps a little more.

How much money you can make taking paid surveys?
To be honest, it depends on a couple things like, the number of legitimate survey company you register with, the number of surveys each company sends out on weekly bases, how many of those surveys you qualify for, and the most important factor is how much time and effort are you willing to put into it. I myself have been taking paid surveys off and on for about 6 years now ( I used to spend a lot of time taking online surveys, but I cant do it anymore, since i don’t have much free time). I have had months that I’d make more than $700 a month working probably about on hour or so every day taking surveys. Let me put it this way, if you have time, and are willing to put some effort into it, you can make a decent amount of money taking paid surveys.

Beware of paid survey scams

Here is the important part. There are a lot of paid survey scams out there. So you need to make sure of legitimacy of a research company before you spend hours upon hours taking surveys. You want to make sure you will get paid for your efforts. Most legitimate paid survey companies are free to join, so if you come across one asking you to pay for registration, do a little more research.

Tips for online paid survey takers

Through away email
Register a free email account just for your surveys. Use that email only for registering with paid survey companies and reviving invitations to surveys. Because after a week or so of registering with these survey sites, you will get invited to a lot of surveys, so it’s a good idea to have a separate email account just for surveys, otherwise your primary email will be full of survey invitations, which is not a bad thing. In fact it’s a positive thing, obviously the more surveys you take the more money you make. But a separate email address will simply make it easier and more convenient to track and respond to your survey invitations.

Register with Paypal
Although you can get paid by check, gift cards and other ways, almost all paid survey sites pay by pay pal, which is a very fast and convenient way to get paid. If you don’t already have an account with pay pal go ahead and sign up. It’s free, and it enable you to receive your payments instantly. Plus, if you are an online shopper, pay pal is a very popular and safe way to pay for your shopping as well.

Register with more than one survey company
I recommend that you register with as many survey sites as you can, obviously because it increases your chances of getting invited to more surveys, which enables you to make more money.

Refer others

Not all but most legitimate paid survey companies offer a commission for each new survey taker(or “panelist” as they are often called) you refer to them. Some will pay a flat fee of say $2 or so, but some give you a better deal, they give you a percentage of what the other person earns for as long as they are active. But it doesn’t mean they take money away from that person and give it to you, no, your referrals wont lose anything, you just get a little extra money. So, if you have friends and family that may be interested, be sure to ask them to register under your name.

OK, now you are ready to get paid to take surveys, but how do you find these paid survey companies? How will you know if they are legitimate paid survey companies? Well, a good place to start would be the BBB’s site, you can type in the company’s name and see what comes up. You can also use get paid to forums to find legitimate paid survey sites. And of course you can check out my huge list of legitimate paid surveys post, where I continuously add and update the list with survey sites that do pay and are legit. Please feel free to drop me a line if you have any question on the subject of Making money with paid surveys.

How To Fully Seo Optimize Your Blog

March 6th, 2010 by Ashley No comments »

Tons of people are setting up blogs each day, but I hardly ever see them setup right for the search engines. Even some of the big internet marketers are ditching a lot of the basic rules when it comes to setting up your blog the best way. This article will teach you how to setup a blog that Google will love.

The first thing you need to consider are making sure you have the right plugins installed. The most important free Wordpress Plugins you need are:

1.) All In One SEO
2.) ShareThis
3.) Google XML Sitemap
4.) Google Analytics For Wordpress
5.) Simple Link Cloaker
6.) Tweet This
7.) Comment Luv

The All In One SEO Plugin will allow you to put Descriptions, Keywords and Titles which will show up in the Search Engine in each of your posts. It will also allow you to rename your files to what ever you want instead of defaulting the post URL to your title name. And if you add permalinks you can even make the file extensions .html, .htm or .php.

Share this will allow anyone who visits any of your posts the opportunity to book mark them with the major Social Bookmarking Sites. These will automatically be displayed at the bottom of each of your posts.

Google XML Sitemap will create sitemap at the bottom of your blog. When google sees this it will know to spider all of these pages. Each time you make a blog post, the sitemap will automatically update and add this new URL to the site structure. After you install this plugin you will need to activate it before this function becomes live.

The Google Analytics For Wordpress Plugin will give full Google Analytics capability to your blog and will allow you to track all of your blog pages so you know how much traffic they are getting. Actually this plugin does a ton more than this.

Simple Link Cloaker will cloak all your Affiliate Links, or any other links you want cloaked. This means Google won’t be able to find these and penalize your blog.

Tweet This will allow anyone who visits any of your blog posts to click the Tweet This button which goes at the bottom of each of your blog posts and tweet your post using their Twitter Account. This is an automated way to build backlinks to your posts.

Comment Luv is a Wordpress Plugin that attracts people and encourages them to make blog posts on your blog. These are usually Search Engine Savvy people who know they can target a specific keyword when making a comment at the bottom of any one of your blog posts.

If you follow these steps you will create a blog the Search Engines will love.

Website Marketing: Multimedia Campaigns 'most Effective'

March 4th, 2010 by Ashley No comments »

Website Marketing and television advertising are becoming increasingly linked and may soon be difficult to differentiate, according to a new media expert.

Eva Berg-Winters, senior manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers, said recent research showing that online brands are increasing their TV advertising spend is a sign that the two channels are moving ever closer together.

The research from TV marketing body Thinkbox suggested that a new trend for ‘two-screen viewing’ – concurrent consumption of TV and online – has facilitated this growth in online brands advertising on TV.

Data revealed that online brands have increased their TV ad spend from £10 million in 2004 to £180 million in 2009 – an annual increase of 172 per cent.

In addition, 94 per cent of people have gone online as a direct result of watching TV in the last 12 months.

This means that a brand can now go from initial awareness straight to purchase during the course of a single commercial break, making TV a point-of-sale medium.

Further, separate research carried out by ITV and the Direct Marketing Association suggested that multimedia campaigns typically resulted in significantly higher response rates among UK consumers than single channel campaigns.

Consumer response rates improved by 143 per cent when both website marketing and television advertising were used together.

Ms Berg-Winters noted that with two strong advertising channels it was not surprising that people working in website marketing would have an interest in TV.

She added that the trend was mutually beneficial.

“Online brands want to make the most out of TV and large media companies want to move some of their spend to online,” she explained.

“TV and online have been two discreet online markets with their own strengths and indeed rules but we are seeing that TV and online are becoming increasingly close.

Ms Berg-Winters pointed to the launch of Seesaw, a new online streaming service that brings together programmes from the BBC, Channel 4 and Five, as an example of how TV was moving towards online.

“As these media become closer so too does the respective advertising – the two will soon become hard to distinguish,” she added.
