Using PLR Products

June 29th, 2009

Let’s look at some of the ways that PLR can be used to gain more paying customers and build your list.

1. Get a number of related PLR articles and combine them to form an eBook, report, or autoresponder e-course that you can offer as a free bonus when people join your list or newsletter.

2. Combine PLR material to form bonus products that you can add to your own product or an affiliate product.

3. Re-written PLR articles can make excellent content for your website. The research has already been done and if the original PLR content is readable then making 30% of the material unique should not be all that time consuming or difficult.

4. Blog posts are another excellent way to use PLR. Hosted Web 2.0 properties such as WordPress are easy to use and by utilizing your PLR on these types of sites, you can strategically place contextual links in the content to point back to your money sites. Also, PLR content can be used as blog posts on your own hosted blogs. It makes a great “tips of the day” section.

5. Sell your re-written PLR to other internet entrepreneurs. You can do this through membership sites, from a non-membership salespage, or though an affiliate program such as PayDotCom.

6. Written PLR content such as articles and eBooks convert readily into audio. Then the audio can be used as a podcast and distributed widely for great backlinks. You can also turn a series of podcasts into an audio course in order to sell it.

7. PLR content makes great physical items. Take the eBook that you made previously and turn it into a physical book by using print-on-demand services now readily available. Another less-used physical product is to produce a CD/DVD version of your book. These can then be sold at a higher price due to the fact that physical items are perceived to have more value than digital products. You can also then sell the CD/DVD on E-bay.

8. If you have a newsletter, re-written PLR that shows your style and flair can be used to help develop a growing relationship with your readers. Just make sure that the edited PLR sounds like you and this will go over well.

9. Print mailings are another rarely-used way to get the most out of PLR. A lot of online marketers forget that direct mailing can have a huge impact on their internet marketing business. Bundle up that PLR that you have re-written into those reports and mail it to your list of postal mailing addresses. This can be done fairly cheaply if you use bulk mailing with cheaper rates.

Until next time.

Instant Articles

June 23rd, 2009

Hey guys,

I have just come across a piece of software that looks really interesting.

If you are like me and find it hard to find to time, with kids, family and a day job to boot, to write relevant articles for your products, then this may be the answer.

You know what it is like when you ned to write an article to be submitted to the directories. You need to find the topic that you want to discuss, research it, write it up, proof read, review it again and then submit it. Well this software can help reduce the time involved.

It’s called Instant Article Wizard Pro 2.

How does it work?

It extracts relevant pieces of research from a large variety of online indexes based on keywords you provide. That research is grouped and organized in a way that puts related research together. This makes writing your articles much, much faster and easier than trying to go out and do the research yourself.

It currently supports searching Google, Yahoo, Bing, Google Blog Search, Articles, Google’s US Government index, Google Scholar, Google News and Google News Archives. Having multiple sources for gathering research makes it much easier to compile relevant, authoratative information to help you write top quality articles fast.

How does it prevent duplicate articles?

Instant Article Wizard Pro has a random factor that prevents the same research from being gathered for the same keywords each time they are run. That way an article you write on a set of keywords will be different, based on the research found, than another user who writes an article on the same set of keywords.

Even better, this means that you can create multiple unique articles on the same topic keywords. That gives you the ability to post to as many blogs as you want, submit to article directories as many times as you want and get as much content about a topic as you want. The benefit to you is more content, more pages indexed by the search engines and more backlinks to your sites.

Anyway, check it out. Every bit of spare time we can find help.

Starting Online With Ebay

June 19th, 2009

This is a popular online business model that a lot of people usually start out with. Ebay is a popular online auction website that millions of people use every day to find good deals on items they are looking for.

You can sell anything you have at home as well as selling items using a drop ship method. If you do a search on the ebay site, you will see a whole variety of items that people are selling. They could be used items or brand new items that come from wholesalers. Either way, people will pay good money if you provide them with what they’re looking for.

Some people go so far as to buy items from flea markets and garage sales for the sole purpose of reselling them on ebay for a profit.

What skills are helpful?

There aren’t a lot of skills you would need to sell items on ebay. The ability to market your items will be the most important one to have. People can do a search on the site for the items you’re selling, but if you want to make money in this type of business, you will want to market those items elsewhere to get people to find them.

If you’re selling items from your home, you should be able to take a good photo of the item so people can see what shape the item is in.

What tools are needed?

Really, the only tools you should need to start this type of business is an account with e-bay to sell your items. If you plan to use a drop ship method, you would have to find a wholesaler that will ship the items direct to the customers. The best place I have found to date to find wholesalers and dropshippers is Salehoo. It is a New Zealand base company that has check out the best Wholesalers and Dropshippers around. Unlike other directories I have seen, Salehoo allows other to leave feedback on their experiences with the companies involved.

An access to a computer with a reliable internet access will be necessary to keep track of your sales. You will also need an online account like PayPal to receive money from your customers.

How do you get started?

Sign up for an account with Ebay that allows you to sell from them. Plan to purchase items from the site as well to help build your user ratings, so people will have a little more confidence in buying from you.

Place photos, if possible, of the items that you want to sell. Items that have a photo of items sell much faster than those that don’t. People like to see what it is they’re buying, so provide them with the best quality photo possible.

Review all informational materials as well as the rules on the Ebay website, to get tips on making more sales and how the process of selling on the site works.

Selling on Ebay is an excellent way to start your own online business. This gives you your first taste of an online business without having to have a lot of equipment to get you started. Plus, you get the benefit of getting rid of items that are cluttering up your home while you make a little money on the side.

There are also some good training and mentoring people around to help you get your Ebay business up and running. Matt and Amanda Clarkson from Bidding Buzz, whom I have known now for almost ten year, are probably the leaders in this area. They have gone from being a builder and personal trainer (and trust me Amanda was a task master when it came to personal training), to selling almost one million dollars a year online with ebay within a very short time. They are now passing on their knowledge.

Make Money Online with ClickBank HopAd Builder

June 17th, 2009

ClickBank excites me. It really does! The potential to make money online is very high when you promote ClickBank products.

Clickbank has a program that I think will interest you very much. It’s called HopAd Builder (login required). The program is very useful because it gives you a unique way to promote ClickBank products. Best of all, it’s free to use. Here is how it works.

HopAd Builder allows you to build customizable ads for your blog. To begin with, you can choose between building Text Ads or Tabbed Ads. The text ads look very similar to Google AdSense. These might or might not work very well for you. However, with the Tabbed Ads, these look much more promising because you can easily incorporate them to look like they are part of your main navigation.

HopAd-1

Text Ads and Tabbed Ads are very easy to build. With Text Ads, simply enter in your keywords, your ClickBank ID, optional tracking ID, and decide on displaying the maximum number of ads.

hopad-2

Text Ads look similar to Google AdSense ads. You can easily display them in your blog sidebar, or float them in your blog content.

hopad-3

You can also create custom size ads. This means that you can build ads that fit your blog perfectly. You can also change colors, font sizes, and choose the text alignment.

hopad-4

I like Tabbed Ads better because I think there is less “Ad Blindness” with them. Many people often over look AdSense style ads and I feel like the same will happen with HopAds Text Ads. Because of that, I think Tabbed Ads is a better option.

Setting up a Tabbed Ad on your blog is simple. All you need to do is enter in three tab titles, enter the keywords for each tab, and enter your ClickBank ID. You can also add an optional Tracking ID if you want.

Tabbed Ads look very nice as shown in the screen shot below:

Just like Text Ads, you can customize the Tabbed Ad size, fonts and colors.

ClickBank did a great job with HopAd Builder. It is a free program that allows you a very unique and creative way to promote ClickBank products.
